The Doctor's Ma is a scion of the Mayfield WI. A few years ago they
decided to have an outing and do their Xmas shopping in a group.

    In New York.

In that case everyone becomes multi racial as we all have a mixture of
    interests.

BTW, the WI does have other interests than jam and Jerusalem - I went on
a cool rocket making weekend with the WI a few years ago. We got some
interesting looks from a group of kids sledging down the hill as all
these old dears stomped across Leek High School playing field in the snow
    clutching various sized rockets.

The largest rocket ended up in someones back garden, Can you imagine
having 2 old women knocking at your door asking for their 8' rocket back?

Well if we are taking the dictionary as a reference, and I think it a good
idea that we do, I think we can conclude that the term "race" isn't
absolute, instead relying on context for meaning. Everyone's only multi
racial if there is no context and the proposition would be meaningless.

I'll never see it in my lifetime, but I look forward to the day when
everybody's the same colour, pretty much the same outlook, and has the
    same opportunities.

A world where man can embrace man as his brother and doesn't care about
    the smell.

But you're talking about homogenisation. There's no way back from that so
let's not go there in the first place. Take your first step down a
    different path.

I suppose it'll happen eventually - in a few thousand years, should the
h.r. survive that long. In the meantime, too many fucked-up arseholes
seize on visual differences to vent their prejudices.

It'd be marvellous if everbody just got on, you know?

    Apart from the gingers.

It's not going to happen anytime soon, that's for sure.

Our divergence was at walking speed; our convergence (with any luck)
will be at speeds considerably higher. This is dependent, of course, on
the continuance of cheap personal and public transport which in turn
will be dependent on cheap fuel, the lack of vicious pandemics, nuclear
wars, or a myriad other reasons that nature / human nature throws in the
    way of it.

I sincerely hope the converged human is a damn sight smarter and more
tolerant than most of the assholes around today; otherwise, no point,
    really.

I envisage the converged human to have a mildly coffee-coloured skin,
slightly oriental features and .... ginger hair.

    **** it.

  17. Then you've got the nature versus nurture argument.

I wasn't always like this you know. Horror of horrors, if I'd not
derailed myself in my late teens I could've been one of those posters
going on about which new Porsche I wanted.

    Deep down I'm gutted.
