I'm loving the tribulations of the father & son team & their new boat.
    Talk about jinxed.

Something similar is being discussed in Another Place, and this link

The 2nd para under "Noise Induced Hearing Loss" is me to a T. When
watching TV, P has the volume far too high for me but irrespective of
how loud it is, if there's any background noise I struggle to discern
    the words.

    I didn't find the dialect a problem.

However, the show seemed to go downhill (a little) and wasn't as exciting.
But with The West Wing, half-way through series 3 and it's still great
    stuff.

I'll add my usual nod for Deadwood, which I still rate above anything else
for the great writing. Though that's even harder for a lot of people to
understand, and only lasted 3 seasons. Plus I'm young enough not to be
hung up on McShane, whatever that's about.

  4. I watched it, or most of it, I don't remember getting to the end, and
whilst it's reasonably nice to look at, it didn't pull me in like The
    wire and BOB did.

I wasn't too impressed with the series based in the docks, but thought
it picked up again after that.
I've not seen any of those. Another to add to the list I guess.

  6. Let me guess; As with all good music it's great for both adults and
    kids. Right?

How very narrow-minded. As Lozzo says, some of his lyrics are extremely
    clever.

As Steve's[1] been in my kf for many years, I don't see his posts, but
the irony, nay hypocrisy, of him ranting about someone allegedly
misusing ukrm for vehicle trading is somewhat amusing, to say the
least, given his history on here.

    [1] "JackH", that is.

OK, who had the 11th of March on the sweepstake for the first veiled
    allusion to Sorby's VFR750?
