    Anyone know any?

Most of the google hits I've had are for other search sites who promise
more than they deliver. We only need access for a couple of weeks,
it's not for porn though I guess some will be perused, it'd be rude not
to, hence why it needs to be free.

    Not for me .. ;)

    Take a peek here:

    http://www.newsgroupreviews.com/

Most of the services offer a free trial with ~10 GB limit, and some
offer unlimited GB month-to-month service for around $10-$15 per month,
surely someone can afford to sign up for a month at that price and then
    cancel?

That's worked perfectly, many thanks. We hadn't even thought of
signing up for a free trial, even though it's so bloody obvious ..
couldn't see the wood for the trees!

    ;)
