heh, the protesters nearly outnumbered the M.P.s the other night when
the bill went through. The P.M. had gone to ground.

    The rest are chicken.

You want to get out in to the country a bit more... nothing quite like
    "dabbling with the brush"...

Hmm, Pluto the dog meets Foxy Loxy...

How about dog-hunting with a pack of foxes?

You've seen *worse* than people being chased to exhaustion, set upon by
several dozen dogs and literally ripped limb from limb whilst still alive,
then having their intestines fed to the alpha dog?

**** me, where do you live?

I have heard the (almost certainly urban legend) tale before of the village
types that were sick of the same sort of thing. They tethered a solitary
sheep at the bottom of their gardens, and stood there with a shotgun. It
seems you are allowed to shoot dogs that are "worrying sheep"[1]

[1] Although if this is true there wouldn't be many Border Collies left
    would there?!

I don't think being mildly peturbed, or even slightly anxious, counts.

Jonathan Woss hit it spot on on his show on Friday - substitute the fox
    for a child molester!

Almost complete bollocks, apart from your choice argument. The trouble
I've see in clubs has involved some unwilling parties most times.
The younger fitter foxes get away from the hounds, it's the older ones
that tend to lag behind and get killed.

There will always be seemingly unfair predator / prey things going on in
the world. It's just how things work.. Take the hunt out of man, and
it's like chopping the bollocks of society off imho. Besides, people
    will find other prey anyway.

Maybe so, but nightclubs do have a reputation for violence.
Yes, that bit is simple survival of the fittest.
Yebbut, this is hunting for hunting sake, I'd have no real objection if
they were out to eat the thing after.

Most do, I tend to go to ones without that tendency. :)
Heh.. only the laws seem to be appling to us humands less and less, with
    what end eh?
True. I'm all for eating what you've hunted. The other reason to hunt,
is to keep what you're hunting strong and healthy enough in the first place.

Not sure what there is to argue about really? I was only experessing an
opinion on the matter, something I believe I am entitled too.

And I have been a user of the countryside for many years, I certainly
wouldn't class myself as a 'townie', and have never liked seeing a hunt
while I've been out in the countryside. Indeed I was met by a toff
wandering around on the hills in Derbyshire some years ago, and he
greeted me with a 'I say old chap, have you seen a hunt go past here by
    any chance?'.

In fact, considering the amount of time I have spent walking around the
countryside over the last 30-odd years, I have actually only ever seen a
single hunt, which does beg the question, do they really make that much
difference to fox populations? If not, then they are purely a blood
    sport.
