OT FOAK Skiing

Whereabouts? I've been to Whistler and Red Mountain. Whistler was
huge and a little soulless, Red is small but has endless tree runs and
is very friendly.

*ding* My two trips this year are California and Russia. Europe?
That's so last year...

 

None of the above. We're doing Banff again (this time we're good
enough to ski the powder bowls properly) for a week, then three days
in Kicking Horse and four at Panorama.

These last two are in BC, but just over the top from Banff, whereas
Red Mountain's quite a bit further to drive. They're both small,
newish resorts which have been more used for heli-skiing in the past,
and hopefully we'll be doing a bit of that while we're there too

Heh. I'll prolly be doing a fair bit locally too, mind.

 

The 'interior' BC areas have a great reputation. I'd be interested to
hear your views on Kicking Horse and Panorama when you get back.
