well, you know the way you need photographic ID to get on a domestic UK
    flight these days?

Does this extend to under-16-year-olds, and if so, what the hell ID is
    required?

I mean, I'm assuming it doesn't apply, but I thought I'd check before
    turning up at the airport...

Check the website of the airline you're flying with - they normally
    specify what ID is acceptable.

  3. Heh. Ellen's passport is from a photo when she was 2 days old, and
    as valid for 5 years.

The airline should have a list on their website - Ryanair famously refused
to allow some squaddies on home leave on their planes because their military
ID wasn't on the list - even though it's apparently valid for pretty much
    everything else.

  5. They wouldnt let Jennifer travel to Scotland without any form on photo
ID. She got an ID card from http://www.citizencard.co.uk/ which lists
    several airline as accepting them.

Wouldn't it be easier just to get a passport?

  7. This is using a credit card yes? I think that they think that a
cc is as good as a passport for internal flights... bicbw

I've just flown from Heathrow to Glasgow with bmi today, using an
e-ticket and self-serviec checkin, and didn't have to show photo ID
    at any point.

So I wouldn't worry about it.
