OT/FOAK: DAB radio

Hmmm, I beg to differ on the 'it's shite' opinion.

*if* you live in an area with *really* good FM reception *and* you have
a FOAD aerial on the roof *and* you're running the tuner through a
quality amp and speakers, then you'll probably notice that FM sounds
better.

However, for a portable radio, with little speakers and a telescopic
aerial, DAB sounds infinitely better, plus it gives you much more choice
of stations to listen to.

interference but the actual fidelity of an FM signal in almost any area
sounds better to me (excluding near London where there's a lot of
co-channel interference.) This is using the same radio set and
speakers... in my car.

It's the choice of channel that does it for me.

 

Because LW is AM, as is MW and SW.
