Are you suggesting that Verizon is gonna' abandon their outsourcing
program, to anywhere, based on an angry customers complaint?

    I've gotta' follow this closely.

I hope that was not the impression I left.. Nah..I didn't suggest anything
of the kind.. I just said "I felt a little better, after getting it off my
chest, rather than just accepting it without saying anything.." Maybe if
more of us would get off our asses and tell these people what we think when
they do all this crap to us, they'd have second thoughts, anyway..

Not much to follow up on.. I don't expect to hear anything more from
Verizon.. More than likely .. the dude just put on a little "show" for my
benefit, just to get us out of their business office..

Anyway.. I had my say.. and someone listened, at least..

I have read quite a few reports on outsourcing. It's interesting that
while low-tech jobs such as 1st level call support, etc. work fairly
well by moving them to India, the high tech jobs do not.

As an example, Indian programmers work for far less than American
programmers. However, it takes an Indian programmer about 10 times as
long to produce the same amount of useable code and ends up costing
more money in the long run according to various reports I have read.
I also feel that it's one more step towards a global economy.
Inevitably we are heading in that direction and it's going to be a
    little difficult along the way.

    Me too!

I have never quite understood that argument. The Bush folks say the
same thing about Kerry. If you don't vote for Bush it's as good as
    giving Kerry a vote.
See, now I find that amusing because I personally feel that Kerry is
far more of a threat than Bush is. I'd take Bush in office over Kerry
    any day of the week.
If Kerry could make up his mind perhaps he would have better support
    from his own party.

LMAO!! Bill, you just have a "way" with people that get them all
riled up and nervous. They don't know how to handle you. LOL

Glad to hear that you made some leeway. We aren't always quite so
lucky and I think under normal circumstances we probably would have
    been ushered out the door.
    Good luck in your fight!

I can't believe that I'd ever have that effect on anyone.. What the hell,
pard.. I've always conducted myself as a gentleman when we have been out and
about..Damn.. you must still be "pouting" about the two up thing...
That was a distinct possibility.. That "foreign lady" was sure looking for
someone.. The little voice kept telling me that she was looking for
    "security officers"... LOL
Aaahhh.. That's probably all we'll ever hear from it.. Like I said.. the guy
more than likely was just putting on a little performance to get rid of an
embarrassing situation.. I noticed that his office was secluded from the
public. As little as I recall, he was an asshole on the projects, where I
    knew him before.. LOL...

Damn son.. you just won't let anything go.. I sure wish you'd work through
the two up thing and stop pouting.. OK.. if it will make you feel better,
you can two up with me again.. There.. sheesh you get nasty when you pout...

LMAO Well damned, Bill. I am going to be in El Paso for about a
week, then on to Minneapolis, and then to Columbia, MD.

Like I said, I plan to ride when I get home.

Good for you, pard.. That's what I'd like for you to focus on.. While you
are in the "Pass".. pay a visit to Barnett's.. Look up my friend Glen
Green.. The service manager is one helluva nice guy.. Ask Glen to contact
Mondo and remind them all that Bill Walker was in their fine facility in
July with a Jap cruiser that needed a new chain..

You don't have to mention the two up thing unless you get in a bind with all
your bullshit republican opinions.. Then .if it becomes necessary ... you
might use it to escape .. They all can relate to the generosity of my offer
to allow you to two up with me, during your stressful recovery period.. And
don't be pouting when you go in there...

Have a good one .. pard.. stay safe and I will see you when you get back..

I'll have to look that place up while I am out there. I wasn't
planing on getting a car, though, so unless it's close to the hotel
I'll probably end up passing on it.
You call me a republican far more than anyone else I know. Even *I*
    don't call myself a republican. :p

I know it.. don't you just love it, when I do that ? Make a special point
of going out to Barnetts.. It isn't the typical motorcycle dealership.. More
like a showplace and gathering spot for Bikers.. They do have the best
selection of motorcycles in the world..

I bet, if you call Glen.. he would arrange for you to be picked up and
delivered to the place, if you explain the situation of being a poor
cruppled Biker.. Seriously .. it's worth the trip and I'm not kidding about
    Glen Green.. He's for REAL..

Being a world famous connisseur of coffee.. I find myself agreeing with Soto
on this topic.. Coffee should taste like Coffee.. not some tootsie
confection.. However.. I must admit that I hesitate to intervene in
alignment with Soto, for fear that he will suddenly change his position..
And I like Coffee too well for that to happen.. Please disregard this post..

Sounds to me like they feared for their safety being in such close
proximity to someone who was apparently unstable. They'd called 911 and
she was easing toward the door to see if the cops were coming. The fart
in the john caught some old geezer checking out his "package" and so
humored him in front of the other employees to defuse the situation
    (using commonly taught techniques btw). In the mean time they stalled;
waiting for the always-late cops who never did show up in time.

In the end the crazy old geezer left and they all breathed a sigh of
relief while warning the next shift to watch out for "the psycho" and
posting employee alerts for other stores to be on the lookout.

LMAO.. Well.. here's one of the last of the Famous EOB list.. Entertaining,
as ever.. If I recall.. this one who was making a whole bunch of phony
claims to support his good buddies.. You know.. the ones that accused me of
molesting my son.. and accused Brian in the death of my grand daughter..

Ol' Mark carefully avoided direct accusations, just supported and encouraged
the ones who did.. No names.. huh .. Mark.. just dirt..

Ol' Mark even went to the extreme of trying to enhance his credibility by
claiming that he is a Mason.. later proven to be, at best .. a Clandestine
Mason and more likely a usenet mason..

Mark has been a frequent traveler on usenet newsgroups.. including this
one.. usually creating a great deal of hate and discontent amongst the
participants and aligning himself with the sleaziest that he can find in the
    particular group that he infests..

He seems to operate most effectively in collaboration with those sleazy
individuals with no character and he has a talent for searching them out to
solicit their support.. The post that I am responding to is typical for Mark
    Johnson..

A man is best known by the company he keeps.. and this one is a prime
example .. I'm sure the killfile declaration will again come into play, that
also seems to be a part of the strategy.. That's OK.. No response is
    necessary..

  20. Pretty good read of what likely went on. Public relations people are
trained to qualify, recognize and deal with the crazies who parade thru
their offices on a regular basis and this is just one more for them to
chalk up in the books. They exchange stories about who had the nuttiest
person to deal with that month and how they dealt with them. That's
just one of many factors when dealing with the public at large.
