It appears that basic training involves Call of Duty 3 on the xbox360.

Not really .... but it makes you wonder.

You do know about America's Army, don't you?

They've got 3 seperate projects - I think the first two are training
and combat, but the third is definately recruitment. The code they
write for the first two slowly filters down to the third, making [1] -
a recuitment tool aimed at young males so when they're fed up with the
computer they can click a link and go and frag for real.

In the last version I played there was an anti-tank rocket thing (which
would be well controlled by a 360 pad) and a localised map showing the
positions of your fireteam in relation to yourself.

As the emphasis on the game is realism, I imagine the system they're
talking about would give the soldiers a similar HUD.
