OT 'cos its cars innit, but anybody here heard of fivepounds.co.uk?

Came across it in an email from a client, googled and found nothing.

Seems to be a way of almost reducing the congestion charge.

I say 'almost' because it costs you 7 quid per day instead of 8, but
you pay 10 quid a month to belong.

"But," I hear you say. "If I don't go into central London more than 10
times a month its not worth it."

The good bit is that it gets paid automagically. You don't have to
remember to pay on the day you go in, so no fines. Not never, not
    nohow.

Now I have no interest in the congestion charge, as I only go in via
bike, but anyone using a car, in central London, on an almost daily
basis, who doesn't know about it, who keeps forgetting to pay the
charge, who... (you get the idea) may find this useful.

  2. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Leo amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
Yeah and Ken's extending it into Kensington and Chelsea. That means I'll
have to go through College Park if I want to go south out of town.
