OT : Computer stuff : DVI & TFT problems

    Got one, no difference.

    So its the GFX card or faulty monitor.

    High end GFX card hopefully being borrowed something like monday.

    My money is on the monitor. I've never liked Dell screens.

    But then again, I've never liked Dell.

    New problem beaten to death after 6 hours head scratching [1] [2]





    [1] Don't read [2] if you're bored by teccy waffle
    [2] Machine running XP Pro with 3GB ram and using '/3GB' switch. Put
    new card in, install drivers, card driver wouldn't load. After bloody
    ages it turns out that with the '/3GB' kernal memory switch it wasn't
    letting the gfx card have its memory mapped ranges, and so didn't work.
    Took switch out of boot.ini, all working fine.
