Recently I've noticed posters like Loz & Bear have lots of =20s at the end of each line. I guess its something to do with character sets [1] but I cant work out what I need to change or where and my help file appears to have gone bump. i'm using the archaic 1.93 version of agent. any ideas? [1] Loz has iso-8859-15 p.s. for those of a football persuasion might like a quick smirk at this: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=2031397547 -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ keeper of the ukrm faq for my sins YZF-R1: ZX9R E1 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
Ditto! I'm on Agent 3.3 and it suddenly started happening again one day. I think UKRM suggested the solution last time so it should be on google somewhere. If you find the article please let me know.
I googled and the only thing I found was when Veggie was having the same problem but that was with turnpike rather than agent. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ keeper of the ukrm faq for my sins YZF-R1: ZX9R E1 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
Aha, found it. <http://groups.google.co.uk/group/uk...es+character+set+BGN&rnum=1#2bda9e91706dfe0f> Message, Show Raw Message, untick. In my Agent it's in the View menu, Display as Plain Text (CTRL+R) It just fixed Bear's messages. Also happens for Loz and a few others. Sorted.
ta. wonder how that got changed then. aint had any mail from them since so I'll take your word for it. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ keeper of the ukrm faq for my sins YZF-R1: ZX9R E1 MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11

Ah yes. the referenced article showed that again. It seems to happen at random (luckily long-spaced) intervals. I suspect there's a background interference from another program or process which isn't often running at the same time as Agent. -- Dave GS850x2 XS650 SE6a Teach a man to fish and he and his pikey mates will have the river cleaned out in a day.
