OT : Canon Digital Cameristi - Question....

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Brownz @ Work, Sep 27, 2007.

  1. Just spotted this on the BBS at work -

"Due to my desire to "trade up" to a Canon 40D I'm looking to sell my Canon
EOS350D digital camera along with 2 lenses (Canon 18-55mm and Sigma
70-300mm). I'll also throw in the battery grip (worth £55) and a couple of
extra batteries. Camera and lenses come with boxes etc. Looking for offers
in the region of £400 (I'll even throw in a camera bag as well)."

Good Deal or Not ? Anyone interested ?

It's not all that great a deal, IMHO.

    Brownz @ Work wibbled:
Probably realistically worth about half that. Nice camera though
although the standard 18-55mm isn't a great lens

350D plus kit lens goes for £270 to £300 on eBay. I don't know why because
they can be bought new for £370.

    It depends on;

How much work has it done?
Is the Sigma lens any good?
Do you want extra batteries and a battery grip?

You will also need to buy CF card(s). Good 4GB ones are about £28 on eBay.

Well, you can still get the camera new for about 350, the extra lens
is about 100 notes and as he says the battery grip is worth 50 odd.
Bateries are a few quid as well.

Battery grip is worth having as not only does it carry extra
batteries, it also replicates the main controls for using the camera
    in portrait orientation.

He's not far off the price IMO, but I'd start at 300 and go to 350
max. Although in reality I just went and bought a new 400D...
