OT Butterflys.

  1. I have got one flying in circles round me head.

I didn't think they were allowed out this late in the year. Someone
please tell me this is abnormal behaviour.

Well see it ain't a moff coz I have been up on the internet[1] and it is
a perfectly normal woodland brown type butterfly and dead common round
    here.

The only moths we get round here that size are grey usually.

I'd post a mpeg but I ain't got the bandwidth or my web site working and
    I can't be arsed anyway.

[1] Boy do those people like to put up hugely overweight picture files
with such piss poor pictures. You'd think that with all the bloody
butterfly fanciers in the world that one of them would have managed a
full on shot of the back of the common species by now.

Nothing special. It is real honest. It came flying in out of the hall,
attacked various bits of the wall a few times, flew a couple of circuits
round my head and is currently in the process of failing to get out of
the spider's web in the corner of the back window.

It must be the one that I let out the bedroom window this morning.

Turn your central heating and lights off.
You are interfering with their winter hibernation. Bastard.

There has been one sat on the wall in my room for about 6 months without
moving. I presumed it dead till we were painting the room the other day, and
decided it needed to be flicked off, so it started flying around, till I
opened the window and it flew out.

It talks a lot clearer and takes sugar in its tea apparently.

We did talk about me adopting it but it sees to have committed suicide
so I think that one is going to be a non starter.

So now you watch it struggle as nature takes it's course? Sweet :)

Not really his fault that the butterfly is stupid.

We had the same thing earlier this evening with a small tortoiseshell
flaying around the room; it's now settled on one of the living room
doors and appears to be snoozing happily.

Oddly enough no. I have never seen the spider who owns that web but she
does a fine job of picking it clean over on a regular basis.
