Look at Rings and the largest one at the bottom of the page.

"One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them. One Ring to bring them
all and in the darkness bind them."

A few of those stuck on the front of the Jeep could save a fortune in
    fuel costs on motorway runs.

  6. Hmm, applying that to this:

    http://www.supermagnete.de/photos/anim/0001.gif

could get you some nifty suspension possibilities. You could have
a naluminium tube to slide it on and vary damping with position by changing
the thickness of the tube (eddy effect).

Like you, I want lots of the, but I can't actually figure out a use for
them. Unless it would be to put one on each of my bikes, and a repelling
one on the rear of the Doctor's car, so she can't drive into them again.

  9. I hadn't thought of that, but yes. Just imagine a bulk order, and it
being at the bottom of the bag, locking it to the floor of the van.

  12. There's a chap on eBay selling lots of different sizes including tiny weeny
    ones:

*Has* to be a fun use for them! You could... um...

  13. I used to do that with CRT focusing magnets - way back when, of course,
but it occurred to me later that such a suspension or bearing system
    could have endless possibilities.

  14. It can be quite dramatic. If you get a strong magnet, such as the
"voice coil" magnet from a dead hard disk, try sliding it down an inclined
copper or aluminium sheet, compared to something non-metallic such as a
pane of glass. There's a demo where you drop a strong cylindrical magnet down
a copper pipe, and then down a pipe with a slit along its length -- it takes
ages to drrop through the intact pipe, but the slit interrupts the induced
current and the magnet falls straight through that one.

Glue a couple inside your K's fuel tank? No more tankbag problems.

Just make sure they're the right way up....

Apparently you will find that having one in the tank improves fuel economy

Do you really need a reason?. Magnets are fascinating things. GBFO magnets
    hold an even greater attraction.

Mount one of the larger bar magnets on the centrestand pivot and use it to
trigger induction loops at traffic lights?.

Take one in to Currys/Dixons and have seconds of fun magnetising the shadow
    masks in the display televisions?.

One of the smaller ones ( or a voice coil magnet from an HDD ) taped to your
oil filter for extra magnetty goodness?.

Stick small children to garage doors.

    I like Ivans suspension idea.
