I couldn't really pull him up for that - I often do the same myself.

It appears we're not the only ones - 15.6 million hits.

  2. That is the first I have heard of that little initiative. Presumably
they think that a lack of publicity will save energy.

  4. There must be some publicity -- I heard about it yesterday!

My Satellite Pro went pop about two years ago, they fixed it and it's been
    going good ever since.

What's the accepted smiley for "envy"? 'cos that's the one I'd use now.
Well it is if I did smileys.

    Lucky, lucky bastard.

Dell have been offering me D630 with 2GB RAM Core 2 Duo 2GHz 3 years
next business day on-site warranty for around that. Without MS Office.

Have no problems recommending the D series as they've been no trouble
    whatsoever.

Ditto. I've been using a D610 for the past year or so and it's standing
up well to being thrown about in topboxes and panniers. The paint's
come off the 'right mouse button' but that's about all that's gone wrong
    with it.

    Are you still allofmp3'ing?
It got a bit ropey for a while but its right back and you can top up with a
    CC again.

They only support video encoded in the H.264 format, so you're going to
have to convert it to that on a PC before uploading.

It's Apple's way of steering people to their download service instead, I
    suspect..

Load the Alltunes software and you do it through that.

What - you mean load some specific software as opposed to just using
    alltunes.com?

Anyway, both allofmp3.com and alltunes.com seem to be fucked at the
    moment.

Yes use the local client installed on your PC. As you say they are offline
    this morning.

The local client just says to use a PIN than you can buy through
Chronopay. The link from alltunes doesn't work and I can't find how to
do so direct through the Chronopay site.

    Ho hum...
