He threw K's driving license into the bin.

    Heh.

We're not married, so she can't divorce me.

I take the piss a bit. She merely has this tendency to drive way too
close to the vehicle in front, regardless of conditions. She
eventually took a bit of a hint when I started discussing the quality
and type of the screws securing the leading vehicle's number plate.

Heh. My ex-wife suffered from all sorts of rage including road-rage. We
were out driving in the Norfolk countryside with her L-plates on the
Suzuki Swift Gti we had then. A young lad was right up her chuff on a
fairly narrow road for about 4 miles with her getting increasingly
agitated. She'd tried speeding up a bit but wasn't too confident so
backed off to the legal limit again. After a while she just hit the
brakes hard with no warning and stopped in the middle of the road,
walked to the back of our car and opened the tailgate, then walked
calmly up to the driver's window and shouted "If you want to get in the
fucking back, you only have to fucking ask - now get off my arse or
I'll knock your fucking teeth out next time I stop".

She was pretty scary when she was angry and matey did back off
considerably before turning off at the next junction.

    heh.

F says I drive far too fast. I tell her that she drives far too
close. I've rarely been scared when passenger in a car driven fast,
but I *hate* being a passenger 6 feet behind the one in front.

  9. Just after I put the SOJC on the road I was driving towards a very
twisty section of road I knew like the back of my hand when I became
aware of a small shitty buzzbox on my tailgate. I gradually increased
speed as we approached the twisties, hit the first one at 50mph, the
second at 55, third at 60, etc and immediately before the final bend
matey boy was still there. I took the last bend at ~75mph and a glance
at the mirror showed I'd lost him. What was slightly worrying was that,
as I drove along the subsequent straight stretch I kept looking in the
mirrors and there was still no sign of him.
A couple of days later I had reason to drive along that road again and
there were distinct signs of car /hedge interface right where a car
would have spun off if the driver had been trying too hard.

You may as well send me her phone number. I'm clearly fated to date

    A. regularly encourages me to drive faster, and overtake slower cars
    [1].
    A. sensibly chooses not to drive.

[1] I have a tendency to drive slower when I have a passenger than
    when I'm on my own.

    Definately.

Except when I collected James? in the 911 Cab and brought him down to
Bishopscourt. But he did dare me.

    I presume so.

I think I overcompensate though. Certainly, as mentioned, A. quite
often tells me to speed up.

The other day, I kinda forgot myself, and pulled a biggish rear-end
slide-out out of a sideroad turning right onto a main road.

She just laughed and said "Hahaha - what did you just do - can you do
    it again?"

    <Surprised>

    I expected a retort like, "co-drivers/navigators aren't passengers."
Private circuit foreplay might also be an exception.

It's entirely consistent with yout normal "I don't give a shit about
    cars" stance.

Actually, the last two words there are superfluous.
