OT Blind c**t set to go?

    IIRC (and remember that I slept through most of my A level politics course)
    the only legislation they can outright reject is something which changes the
    length of the term for which a government is elected.

    OTOH I did my politics A level before the Parliament Act, so I might be well
    out of date.

    If you're at all interested, I looked it up and the Parliament act can't be
    used on any bill which is extending the governments term of office.

  10. He has, it was sneaked in late in the evening after the "Hunting With
    Dogs" bill. If Bliar things the country or the government is under
    threat they can overrule the whole democratic process on their say so.
