  1. Please remind me that it's wrong to kill people who rob and beat your
son up. Even if you really, really want to. It will serve no purpose,
the universe will have its own revenge on them and I have a non
    violent stance to maintain.

Fuckers are in custody anyway, police have recovered his mobile as
evidence. 3 blokes, 2 girls and the girls approached a bunch of them
camping after a concert claiming to be CID officers.

As he said 'the first mistake was trying to use logic on chavs'. One
black eye and swollen nose later he's learnt a valuable if painful
    lesson.

Violent or not, if they suceeded in beating him up they'd manage to
cause you just as much harm.

Glad he's only a little bit scuffed.

  3. Not if they were here right now. I'm so angry it's scaring me a little
tbh. I don't really do hate.
He'll be fine, a bit shaky (as am I - he phoned at midnight to check
he could stay out and I said then am I being a cool parent or an
irresponsible one for letting him?) but his usual sarcastic self. Of
them impersonating CID 'Cunts in disguise'. First time he's got away
with using **** in front of me. We're off to the Bless for lunch now
if you want to toddle along.

It's wrong. And I know it's hard through personal experience (although
not quite this extreme, more consistent bullying type stuff).

Hope he recovers well enough and the fuckers that attacked him get their
    come-uppance one way or another.

  7. Why do we live in pikey areas? I had to dash across the road Friday
night to put out a fire two yobs had started in a pile of dried grass they'd
heaped up where Pield Heath was mown last week. It probably wouldn't
have got far, the unheaped stuff was too dense and damp to burn well. If
they'd wanted a fire they should have started on the 2/3rds of the paddock
    that's dry and still standing...

As I said elsewhere, I half hoped they'd come back, if only to
learn the truth of the adage, "Never argue with a man with a spade over
    his shoulder"...

  8. Not wrong to *want* to, but wrong to do it. And totally commendable on both
counts if you see what I mean; your parental gut feel said kill the fuckers,
which is the biological imperative if your young are threatened. And then
the forebrain and moral imperative took over and stopped you. :)

One does hope that the universe gets its own back on the tossers, however.

I have no biological connection with the little bugger, but I'm only
one step behind WIP in wanting to kill the little cunts.
As yet it's the fact that they're still in custody and I don't know who
they are that's stopping me. Hopefully, I shall calm down and the
forebrain and moral imperative shall come into play later.
In a cruel and painful fashion.

    Yobs? Pikey area?

I think setting fire to things runs the whole gamut of the social
    spectrum.

  11. All entirely expected. However it is for him to deal with and to learn
from. BTDTGTTS when I was beaten up for no reason as a teenager. I had
to deal with it, I had to parade a black eye round school, I had to get
past the fear and I had to deal with one of perpetrators later joining
my school and my class. I think I'm a better person for having dealt
with all of that rather than letting my dad go on the rampage.

On an intellectual level I quite agree, and whilst discussing this in
abstract previously I have espoused the same opinion.

I'm sure it's done him no lasting harm and he will have learnt an
important lesson from this - however, I still want to kill them, over a
long period of time. If I knew who they are and where to find them I'd
have started already, thankfully the police don't reveal that sort of
information. Doing what I want to do wouldn't be a good idea, but,
right now, I still want to do it. It'll pass though, and I can go back
to being a tree hugging lefty.

  13. But I am not discussing it in abstract - I am speaking from experience.
Which is really the point of life - we learn from what it does to us
    (both good and bad).
Precisely - it's not a good idea so get past it quickly before you do
something daft. Doing daft stuff is just about your trademark, isn't
    it?!

  14. I think it's hardwired into people in situations like this..

Sorry, I'm not being clear - I realised that you were speaking from
experience, but that I could only theorise.
Absolutely, character building an all that.
    Dunno what you mean, guv
