Can anyone recommend a good book for learning astronomy? Having been given a telescope for me birthday, I'd like to know how to use it properly - i.e. line it up right to use the RA and other twiddly knobs. It didn't have much of a guide with it. -- Stu XJ900 YTC#11 OSOS#23 pull my plonker when replying
This is from a local (to me) club. I'm sure you have a similar group in the UK. http://www.sjaa.net/beginner.html What kind of telescope/mount did you get? -- muddy I didn't crash, there was a sudden burst of gravity. icq - 219328929

I take it these are astronomy mags? And where are you? -- Stu XJ900 YTC#11 OSOS#23 pull my plonker when replying
Ho Yush... Mr Gower - I heartily recommend you have a conversation with Blaney - what he doesn't know about astronomy, the galaxy, milky ways and solar systems [1] isn't worth forgetting. [1] even the one which has 2 suns [2] [2] apparently.
I hate to admit this, but I made it all up. I don't really know a fucking thing about it. Apart from that I'm a virgo, and that makes me a tidy person.
