Kennedy space centre is ace & so is Universal, especially the way it's
constructed, with massive wide streets, not stupid rammed together
walkways..

It would be difficult to take an 8 year old to Orlando without including
Disney but I wouldn't bother getting an all inclusive pass to do all of the
parks. Do a day in Magic Kingdom and an afternoon in Epcot to wander
around, have supper and see the fire works after dark. Busch Gardens[1] in
Tampa is better than Animal Kingdom & Universal just does everything
better. Seaworld[1] is excellent as long as you can accept the enslaved
orca thing.

[2] for US values of beer

 

Don't worry about it, I've already volunteered Adie for the task because
she likes the US whereas I insist on being paid to go there.

The poor child wants a motorbike and every time her mother mentions it I
tell her nobody makes pink motorbikes.

There are sandy bits, but plenty of hardstanding. Make sure you do
Summit Plummet. The wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon (The 'Phoon) is also
very good. The rest of Disney I couldn't really care less about. Some
good rides but so spread out across the parks to make sure you have to
go to them all.

I'll be there next Easter (again). TNA Impact is a good night out too.
Monday evenings in Universal.

 

I've never done Orlando, just Anaheim. The first time was in '57 and
it was great. The last time was ~15 years ago and the only way I could
enjoy any of it was to try and figure out all the engineering that
went into the stuff. That's actually quite interesting.

 

Champ sold me one that was pink & purple.

 

In 95 degree heat with the worst dose of the shits ever...no, it *really* is
not at all.

I was & am only interested in Disneys downfall.
