Y'know i'm quite proud I have to google for MP references. Their
humour kinda bypassed me completely. And Blackadder. [1]

    [1] Blackadder I like, but I couldn't quote it ..

Don't diss the codeine. It's about 5% morphine, by conversion.
Jolly good. I imagine it'll be a tiny dose, so I'd take it anyway,
unless completely pain-free without it, at least for the first night.
    Drugs are good, m'kay?

They may or may not have told you, but if you take it for several days
try to ensure you eat lots of fibre, as it can really, _really_, bung
you up. Apart from that, the major effect I noticed was that I just
didn't give a **** about anything, which was nice.

That's not actually very much. I was on 70mg, 3* daily, of MST tablets
when I left hospital, so that would be about three days' worth at that
    dosage.
Probably disappointingly low. MST is slow-acting, so won't give the
hit that junkie's crave. That much would certainly space you out for a
bit, but the dilution is a further measure to make it less attractive
    for street use.

I've still got about 2000mg of tablets kicking around here, which I'll
hang on to, 'just in case'.

Anyway, it's morning now, so I hope it helped!

Once within the last year or so I was in enough pain that I took one
of the tabs, and yes, even just one is far more effective than any
    amount of ibuprofen.
It's a pain thing. If that much is necessary, the feeling you get with
the drugs is just... nice, compared with the pain that's gone away.
The other effects, drowsiness, not giving a damn, disinterest in
anyone or anything, are part of the fuzzy niceness they bring.

I dropped to about half of that dosage within days, down to about
3*30mg IIRC, and then slowly reducing that over the next few weeks.
    Good stuff.
