See there's the thing. My guns are not registered with anyone (though
they were registered with the military so I could shoot at thier
ranges, beer cup) As far as the men with funny hats are concerned I
own no guns and my black powder firearms are not considered fire arms.
<boggle> Which is odd as I can reload the pistol as fast as any other
revolver not using moon clips or speed loaders. I also have as much
ftlbs per sqin as most revovlers available. 8^)

technically it doesn't exist at the state level...I await the judicial
decision if and when it comes to festering boil. Oh well I don't own
guns...as far as "They" know and that is the way it is supposed to be.
The powers that be should be fearful of the people NOT the other way
    around.

**** the bastards with their own pens...that or just line them up
and hit them with a truck. Hey maybe they ought to ban trucks! Those
are deadly weapons of (dare I say it?) mass destruction!!!

  3. The challenge of getting something small into a hole. You'd know all
    about that.
All of the above. But mostly the thrill of plugging a burglar.

This is exacty the same with the sword ban. Some nutter tried to
behead a politician with a 'Samurai Style' sword, so they banned
    them :

"... the government will ban the import, sale and hire of Samurai
    swords from April 2008.
Anyone breaching the ban will face six months in jail and a £5,000
    fine"

Which has pretty much screwed anyone practicing Iaido ..

There are now exceptions in law for antique or handmade swords, but
since you can't buy mail order and import is difficult due to the ban,
I might as well give it up !

The thing to do would be to go around attacking people with election
    manifestoes...

And a lot less dangerous for the peace officers, too. Which leads to
such things as thousands of people being cited for "reckless driving"
for travelling at 81mph on a 65mph interstate highway that was
designed to be safe at 70mph .... in a 1950's floating boat with bias
ply tires, drum brakes, and recirculating ball steering ... while
someone riding their motorcycle (on-topic content) at triple digit
speeds in rush hour traffic is ignored because it would be dangerous
    to chase them down.

To be honest he wasn't alone [1] .. but still a knee jerk reaction
considering you can kill someone with a penknife, a baseball bat, a
rake or a BIC pen if you're really determined.

Carrying a Katana doesn't really lend itself to being carried
    covertly.

<sigh> you don't know how to get around the whole "no mail order/
import" clause? Sheesh...actually VIST your swordsmith discuss with
him/her what your want/need let them help correct your errors or
suggest something better. Wait the 6months to several years for it to
be made. 8^) But I'm with you about swords in general. It a crime that
it has become illegal for a gentleman to wear his sword in
    public...criminal I say.

ROTFLMAO...that was ripe. Adny was a bad influence on me.
Used to stupid people who think guns are more dangerous that idiots
with agendas? Nope, never will be...it's an instinctual response.

How about if one were to go about swinging politicians by there heels
to attack with? It would be a great work out AND I doubt if anyone
would consider them a deadly weapon...limp and useless maybe.

Funny that... NONE of the firearms I own have my name attached to them
in any manner. Most were purchased over the counter long before the days
of "registration"[1] and have no records to follow.

that Colt you got on the wall there..."

  16. It's not reality. A cow-orker who has a dozen guns went to buy some
ammo for his newest purchase yesterday; he reports that there's tons
    available.

You can only kill someone with a BIC pen if you can find it. Now where
the hell did I last see that damned pen?

  18. Clays to a very good level.
    Small bore rifle.
    Occasional pistol.

Only shot live game for the pot never for fun.

I still shoot all three but pistol only at the local pistol and rifle
    club.

As the man says enjoy it while you can. And keep the loonies under
control. They are the ones that will end up spoiling it for you.

I did an archery course as one of my challenges one year. Got to quite a
    good standard for a new-bee.

Now you're just being silly. Point me at a reference where someone has
been killed by a vegetable or a small piece of fruit. I mean as in
blunt force trauma, rather than suffocation.
