    Hi all,

Landrover Discovery with scratched and a bit battered alloy wheels
which I'd like to both clean up and re-colour them in black. I say
re-colour 'cos I dunno whether anyone anodises them, paints them,
powder coats them or what they do ... Anyone know? Anyone know any
decent wheel restorers? I've found a couple with flashy websites but
would prefer personal recommendations, preferably within 50 miles or so
of Doncaster (Sheffield, Leeds etc etc)

    Cheers.

That's what I had been thinking, but don't have access to sand-blasting
    equipment ... ;)

Mind, I have a (small) compressor so I guess it's only a case of
finding a suitable gun and media?

Sandblast, then paint. I've heard about people powder coating them
I've seen sandblasting kits in Halfrauds before but they only seem to be
suitable for light duty jobs (Badger airbrush kits I think).
Couldn't you look into hiring the kit for a week to DIY and then spray paint
well away from the dust that you will invariably kick up?
