I really do despair of this bunch of female genitalia.

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/12/22/sexual_offences_increase/

"A judge *or the police* can decide if someone committing one of these
crimes should be made the subject of a Sexual Offence Prevention Order
(SOPO), which means that they are added to the register.

"We have not listed all the offences, this is an overarching offence," said
a Home Office spokeswoman. "What we are talking about is nuisance calls,
obscene comments or obscene use of the internet where there is a sexual
    nature to it."

"We are talking about things that are not already an offence - harassment
emails to a colleague of a sexual nature, for example," said the
spokeswoman. "The best example is nuisance calls, heavy breathing, obscene
    sexual comments." "

    That's it then, we're fucked.

So... writing an 'erotic story' and publishing it online could get one
added to the sex offenders register?

    Hmm, thought crime...

  3. In that case, I've an awful lot of friends who would get added. (SF fans:
those who've heard of slash fiction wouold understadn.)
Yep. I'd have a rant, but somehow I think that I don't need to here.

I've just been pottering around, making coffee and toast for people, washing
up a few bits and pieces, and trying to download some sheet music for the
    sprog.

I'm all in favour of SF fans and fanfiction writers being burned at the
stake without parole, so if all they're proposing is a signature on the
register then this country's going soft.

  10. Wouldn't it be Christina Aguilera or that bird with the bum to get the right
    accent?

    Apart from the locals?

They'd probably locked us up by now if they had. Especially given the
occasional rounds of political comment around here.

Big Gay Nick = Bag Goy Nerk with a bit of an accent. I was looking for a
decent transcription of "Fairytale of New York" for the sprog.

My ex is a composer and creates his sheet music through Sibelius. It's
on the light side of £400 but one can dump .mid's in there and it will
spew it out sheet style most of the time.

I printed out a sample first page from an online thingy, and passed it to
Laura for her view. Transposed from the original key to make it easier to
play, cadence a bit iffy, some mismatch between piano and guitar chords.
She transposed it back to the original key on the recording, fixed the
chords, fiddled with the cadence and got it sounding more like it should,
then decided it was too much trouble...

I'd laugh but in 10 or twenty years you won't be fucking laughing one
little bit. As Bonners noted in another thread you won't be riding
180mph bikes on the road either.

I on the other hand won't be here so WGAF
