Hi all, it's been a long time since my last post here...
I've just seen a Moto Guzzi Breva 750 that looks in decent shape.
Do you have any opinions on this one?

[I should forget[1] that I used to live 10 km from Mandello and my
uncle worked there for 40 years and we owned Moto Guzzis for as long
as I can remeber up to more or less 20 years ago.]

Mostly commuting in London with occasional 1-day rides.

    Thanks,
    F

    [1] I should also forget that I currently own a Y-reg GS500 which is a very
good runner but it's a bit subject to rust if I don't soak in in WD40
    every week...

    Underpowered and overpriced.
An older V65 or V75 (wihout EFI) will be cheaper to buy and run, lighter
    and simpler to maintain.
    I owned a 1984 V65 wich was really nice.

AFAIK, the Breva is prone to the same problems than the older ones (5th
gear problem) and new with the EFI.

    I wouldn't.

Keep the GS500 for your daily commute, far less likely to get nicked
in London than the Breva. The Guzzi will be rather more fun at weekends
so keep it the the garage during the week.

  6. I liked the V65. Never rode a V75. Finding a good one will be hard these
    days.

    Thank you all.
I'm still not sure about it, I'll ask SWMBO if she likes it...

lol ! I thought i'd give him the 'standard' UKRM greeting to someone
popping up on the group after an extended absence.

The other standard question isn't really relevant ;)
