As per title. Dakota Hotel off J27 M1.

I had a rather pleasant lunch there Monday. It looked like it might be a
nice weekend retreat. All black marble and Industrial Chic. Has anyone
    stayed there?

I used to work on the business park by J27, and there wasn't a hotel
there in those days. I'm guessing it's quite new?

Indeed. I think it's owned by Coultard.

Heard the food's shite about 8 or 9 months back. I've no fucking idea why
you'd want a weekend retreat *there*...

I've no idea if I would which is why I asked if anyone has stayed there.
I had a particular reason to be in the area.

    Heh nice rant.
The linguine with Dungeness crab followed by a rather nice blue cheese was
    *excellent* and not overpriced.

I've not stayed there. It was more of why you'd want a weekend retreat in
that particular location, not that particular hotel. I mean, there's
Europe's biggest sundial in Sutton In Ashfield, as well as a lot of chavs,
and Newstead Abbey is alright for an afternoon walkabout, but there's really
not much else to do, unless you want to drive over to see the world's most
propped up tree. I went to Nottingham the other week and that seems to have
turned into a threatening version of Derby, but there are still some good
    restaurants there.
