  2. Ok, today i tested a 98 ZX9. (Early 98)
25,000 k's on the dial, serviced with log books.
Leo Davinci?? exhaust (tip only) and Dynojet kit.
New tyres front and rear. Bike is blue with blue tinted windscreen.
Appears very clean and smooth to ride.

Best pice is $10,400 ride away with 6 months rego.

    Opinions??...

I wouldn't quite go that far Intact ... I'de say around the 8500k mark would
be a great buy. That's through the trading post etc anyhoo. Dealer you're
gonna have to expect more ... you know how these things work. Other than
    that, it sounds good.

A private sale or from a dealer?

    Any warranty?

    Has it had a 25,000 k service?

    Original paintjob?

    Offer $8,500

Or add a few thousand $ and buy a new bike.

    Forget the dealer.

Buy the same bike privately and pay $7.5k - $8k.

I'm pretty sure Peter Stevens Ringwood had some pretty good deals going ZX9Rs
when I bought the 12R. Can't remember if they were '02 or '03 models.

  13. Wow, just found same model with 1000 less k's for $8500. Calling first thing
tomorrow morning. After 12 months of QLD rego it will be 9k....but thats
    still a 1200 saving...
Next question would be what does a can and jetting cost....with tuning of
    course..

Cans will range from $500 to about $1000, Dynojet kits are about $150 -
$200, then you've got the dyno, I'de say another $250 or so. Expensive
exercise, but look around and you can find 2nd hand can's, dynojet kits on
sale or old etc etc that might help you out a bit.
