Sometimes people need to kick and let off steam; in a company which is
going through a painful reorganisation this results in staff *needing*
to give someone a hard time- not to change anything for the better but
simply because they have 'issues' to get off their collective chests.

I'm senior enough to be the face of the company for this purpose, simple
venting. I must admit that I had suffered some of these complaints in a
team meeting I'd arranged late last week- complaints that were really
more about the corporate culture than anything else, things completely
outside of my sphere of influence. I was still 'tender' from this.

 

Are many of your lot being "offshored" then?

 

My lot, not.

 

It is. Even in a good company (like wot I'm in here) the crap-quotient
does have moments when it gets above the nose line.
