Don't know if I should mention this publicly, but what the hell, it's
    only a P45...

There are striking similarities between some of the HG Takei lids and
the lower-range Nitro helmets, especially in the chin vents and
associated helmet contouring, which appear identical...

As you know, we make lids for whoever wants them, and they get the
option of having their branding on them. If I was buying a container
load of lids, I'd want to be able to call them whatever I want too.

Yes, but is it flip-front with an infernal dark visor?

I think I understand. Some Takeis are made by our mob, others by
    Driver?

Maybe old stock in HG Carlisle then. They don't actually look like our
helmets, apart from the chin vent (centre and sides) which closely
resemble the ones on our N510/N610 and such like; otherwise there's a
big (recessed/contoured) Takai logo in the centre of the forehead, and
the other ancillaries are different. You're right, none of the Takais
in the current HG book match ours in any way. Forget I said anything.

I won't tell the boss ;-) I know the ones you're thinking of, I think
they have side pods on the visor mechs so they aren't ours.

  10. Which one's that then? I've just been to the HG website and it looks
like they're punting out the 2002/2003 catalogue. If I order one, will I
    get this years'?

Is there a 2005 catalogue out yet?

300 squids? I got mine for 230 at the NEC, and a free sports bag with it.

2 years ago the Astro J was over 400 Ukp when it hit the market. I had a
reasonable deal at 300. Not really worth it my opinion.
    On Lozzo's recommendations I bought a Nitro flip-front helmet (F317 IIRC)
and it only cost less than 70UKp. For the money it's brill.

Helmets have, not that much change in evolution in 30 years, so necks are
    about the same.

Can't find the importers. Web search threw up a couple of companies, but no
one replied apart from one that did Arai car racing helmets and couldn't
help. If you could let me have the details I'd be grateful. I bought it from
a girl that won it in a competition and didn't ride bikes!

The retractable chin cuppy thing that you yank down to stop the draft is the
problem. The stitching around the edge has come undone. Prolly from where it
sits on the shelf or wherever it's put down.

Apart from that, it ain't a bad bucket, but certainly doesn't warrant the
    money.

  19. Given enough time, do you think we will develop bigger left toes to
change gear with, kevlar like skin on our forearms, knees and hips and
    bigger and stronger necks?
