Oops - that was sort of lucky...

  1. Coming back home from a good run out, I was stopped on the A7 by two of
Dumfries & Galloway's finest non-traffic plod, apparently on "monitoring
duty" - clocked at 97 on the laser. They were kind enough to warn me
that a Traffic unit would throw the book at me for such speed, and that
as they were "only monitoring" that stretch of road (wide, single
carriageway bypass) no further action would be taken. Cheers lads.

Well done you lucky git. I 'got away' with a speeding offence[1] with
an 'off you go sonny' when they realised they'd pulled over an MZ
    250[2].

    [1] 60 in a 30
[2] Makes sign of the blue smoke.
