Picked up the repainted CB450 bodywork from the sprayer this evening.
It looks absolutely, utterly, utterly gorgeous. I didn't go for the
original "blue with gold stripe" but for the (also original but
somewhat less common) "dark green with gold stripe" instead.

Nice deep paint, and the green sparkles properly when the sunlight
shines on it. Not often then...

Now all I need is to wait at least twenty years until the value of the
bike has caught up with the cost of the restoration. Especially given
the fact that it "doesn't need any work". Yeah, right.

  5. I owned one, a few years ago. After I'd sorted the carburetion (they
were originally jetted impossibly lean because of the US market) it was
a really, really good bike. Steered astonishingly well for a
ShiteOldHonda, handled nicely, stopped well, did 120mph....

Best SOHC Honda four I ever rode, really. Apart from the 400 Four.

Funny you should say that... Saw one st Abergavenny around 4ish
today )well,, yesterday actually, glancing at watch), was blue IIRC, could
it have been the same one?
