Nidge fumbled, fiddled and fingered: Yes they do I SORN'ed my K online [1], and received an acknowledgment letter shortly after from DVLA [1] and got ribbed for mentioning it here ;o) <snip> -- Steve Parry http://www.gwynfryn.co.uk http://www.arrivedeprived.org.uk/ K100RS SE F650 (not forgetting the SK90PY)
You can only do it if your VED reminder has a reference number specifically for online declaration or payment. Its printed next to the URL for declaring online. -- ColonelTupperware, spouting bollocks on Usenet since 1997 Usenet FAQ at http://www.its.caltech.edu/its/services/internetapps/news/news2.shtml UPCE FAQ at http://upce.org.uk/ UKRM FAQ at http://www.ukrm.net/faq/
You can do it without, you just need a code that's printed on your V5. I did the Thou at the beginning of January using this because my reminder didn't have the reference on it. Worked fine and I got the confirmation letter from the DVLA a week or so later.
Sadly I haven't got that... Cheers anyway everyone -- Veggie Dave UKRMHRC#2 BOTAFOF#08 IQ 18 FILMS http://www.iq18films.com Extreme Racing http://www.veggie-dave.co.uk Toxic Shock Syndrome Gets More Girls Than Me

It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the Entering my SOBs / SOC, the dol certainly corresponds to when the last UK tax discs would have run out on them. Wow! I was able to see just how many of my old bikes are still on the road! Bless them Matt SV1000S.....Twistier Than Highway 120 East To Yosemite!! SV1000S, TL1000R, ER5, CD175D http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/matt-hazel (please pop the "pop" to reply)
The last V5 on my first bike was issued in 1990. So that lasted 5 years then. Bought it brand new in 1985
Aww, I noticed that my 2-strokes, other than the RD have disappeared into oblivion sob sob. Matt SV1000S.....Twistier Than Highway 120 East To Yosemite!! SV1000S, TL1000R, ER5, CD175D http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/matt-hazel (please pop the "pop" to reply)
My DT125 has disappeared completely. The others appear to be still on the road/in storage/rusted to bits and the owner still has the V5.
Heh. My Blackbird: The vehicle details for R281 FJO are: Date of Liability 01 07 2004 <snip> Vehicle Status Unlicensed They don't seem to have noticed that I exported it. I wonder if I'll get a summons? -- Paul. CBR1100XX SuperBlackbird BOTAFOT #4 BOTAFOF #30 MRO #24
Means the date that the tax ran out (or is due to run out) and then the vehicle becomes liable for tax again unless it's sorn'd.
Haven't a clue. But here's a tip: If your newsreader won't do it automatically, remove everything after and including the "-- " when replying. It's called "snipping sigs", and not doing it will get you ignored or flamed around here, because they're a bunch of bastards. -- Paul. CBR1100XX SuperBlackbird BOTAFOT #4 BOTAFOF #30 MRO #24
