This sort of bollocks really annoys me :

"Andrew Goodwill, of anti-fraud site Early Warning, commented: "The
banking industry has an obligation to its customers to allow them to
access their bank accounts in a secure manner. It should not be up to
the customer to make the decision whether an email they receive asking
them to update their bank details is genuine or not."

So, exactly *how* are the banks meant to combat this?

  9. Nah, there was no real malice in Champ's post. No LOL!!! or *snort* or
anything to mark it out as a true 'moment de Des'

    IMHO, obviously.

You'll have to stick to counting to 10 (ten) then.
I was translating back into decimal for you. :)

Sorry, I'm having a sloppy brain and fingers day.

Perhaps you could consider it as a new hobby?

  13. Be a Luddite like me, and use cheques, not on-line banking.

Another advantage is that it annoys the banks.

Well if they do, it's an old list. Been years since we've had accounts
with Barclays. And Halifax - well I do, but only 'cos of equitable
Life. No, I wasn't tempted to go look.

    Well

    11111 11111 is 1023

Then you pop them all down again and say 'tada! 1024!'

But if you wanted to be really pedantic you can only *show* 1023 on your
    fingers.
You can count *up to* 1024.

People who are already comitting a criminal offence - probably from
another country - are really not going to give a toss about that.
