One up for the Hairy Bikers

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Dr Ivan D. Reid, Dec 28, 2008.

  1. Celebrity Mastermind just now, Dave Myers took the win. Scary to see the
limit of some celebrities' general knowledge -- David Lammy in particular.
And David Harewood (who seems to be some sort of actor?) did well in his
specialty and _collapsed_ in general knowledge.

he went into a panic. shame. i was surprised that his panic extended to
not remembering that those big bits of stage furniture are called flats:
maybe he's never been a stage actor. even more surprising considering
the level and focus of the questions: dumbed-down and concentrated on
    things a luvvy might know.

David Lammy was just embarrassing. what's his job again?

  4. I have a rule when it comes to watching any TV show. If it has the word
'celebrity' in it, don't watch it.

    "Ding a fucking ling"

I have the same rule too, along with another one. If there's a green surface
and/or a ball involved in the programme, it gets switched off.

That stops any discussion about it being "But Dad, it's FOOTBALL (or
snooker, or tennis or any other fucked up "game").

  6. That's a good'un, that is. I might make an exception for a good
international footie match, when you can work up a good xenophobic head
of steam, and I might make another exception for a good game played with
odd pointy ball wot doesn't roll straight.

I thought everyone liked to perv over tennis. Or do you just have a thing
about the clay court at Roland-Garros?

  9. Huh? I thought perving over tennis players went out with Athena posters
    of birds scratching their bums.

You always make the distinction that the pointy ball game is played in mud.
