snip
And why does it take 4 police oficers to ask a man to take down a
poster?

You might think I'm some kind of retard but I've got a lot more
experience than you'll ever have of living in a police state. Come
back and talk to me when you've lived in a country where you can be
lifted from your home and detained for 90 days without anyone being
told where you are and when (or if) you're released you're subject to
a banning order prohibiting you from being in the company of more than
three other people at the same time.

5. Bear with me; I'm not a fan of the Met or of bully-policing but consider
this - the bloke is a **** and needed a slap.

Why would you think that? There is no requirement to caution (and note
that this is what we're talking about - there's no such concept as
"reading his rights" in the UK) an alleged offender at all, except
that anything said while _not_ under caution can't be used in
evidence.
Even once he's been cautioned, that's not the same as being under
arrest.

Because that's what they always seem to do when they want to talk to
you about an offence, once they're certain there is an offence.
Dunno the ins & outs. It's always the same on the numerous ones I've
seen on Road Wars etc - arrest then caution. Even when it's just
something like a tiny bit of weed.

I still reckon there was something else going on to merit sending five
cops, & you certainly can't trust what he says when it comes to alleged
police brutality.

Seem to? Been watching too many cop shows, have we?
Actually, I don't think you'll see that on any of the reality ones, if
you listen and look closely.

Way too many, I go through phases of being addicted to them.
"Road Wars etc" are reality ones.

I did, last night. Lots of "I'm arresting for blah. You do not have to
say anything etc etc".
