"Off-duty manager Shaun Duffield who stumbled across the offending Tweet
days after it was made told a court on Monday that the message was not
taken as a credible threat and had no operational effect on the airport.
    Even so the prosecution continued."

As the chap himself just tweeted, "I'd like to thank the CPS for their
level-best efforts in fucking up the life of an ordinary citizen. I love
    Britain."

In the absence of Tritium you are going to need 50 Froggies just to move it

Well as I said I expect it is about a lot more than just him.

Bit like the national ANPR tracking system which will be merged into a
Galileo GPS system for new vehicles. It all just slides in as if with warm
vaseline and nobody mutters until, oops, it is all too late.

Like I've said before privacy and freedom of speech and movement in
jurisdiction is either absolute or non existent. But "people" didn't want to
    grant absolute freedom, did they.

Everyone should be very_fucking_careful about what they post to usenet and
web forums after today, unless it goes to appeal. Particularly about
religion and religious fuckwits. Them being *just* the ones to dob people
    in.

It isn't new though, is it. We are just regressing a couple or three
    centuries.

    <sigh>
He didn't make a threat to blow up an airport (it was humour) and he hasn't
    been charged thus.
He is being used to set something *much* more insidious.

    This commentary is very interesting

He was originally arrested under different legislation.. However, as that
charge probably wouldn't stick, the section 127 charge was dredged up
    instead.
