It seems my next few days will be spent flying on the following:

    Bombardier Dash 8
    Britten Norman Trislander
    Saab 340

    Lovely.

I've never flown on little planes before, so I'll have my camera at the
    ready, like a true anorak.

    A bit of both.

Bremen is to spend 2 days with the German side of the business, Channel
Islands is setting up some new concessions over there.

I'm back in the Channel Islands in a couple of weeks for the opening
    days.

  5. I had a "moment" a couple of weeks ago.
I was sat outside the BMW Dealership in Daun (Just south of the
    nurburgring).
I heard a bit of a roar coming from behind us, looked around just as three
A10 Warthogs came down the valley fying wingtip to wingtip. Awsome.
    I love that plane.

I always preferred the side or tail view of them, as do most with an
    interest in (continued)living.
You may enjoy this, it's a little old.

Aurigny Trilanders, G-JOEY and friends, are _very_ noisy! My mate was the
training captain on them! and another mate was a pilot. Hence I've been
deafened by them a few times in the past!

    Good fun though. ;o)

    Flashgorman.

I still keep in touch with him and have beers every few months or so.
I gave him a nudge via eMail a couple of weeks ago and he's still
alive. He's got a proper job now - one where he actually has to work -
so I don't think he even lurks.

    That's the peckerhead.
It all went sideways when he built his leaky shed. Poke him in the
eye for me when next you see him please, for this place is the poorer
    without him.

Depends on your definition of little. A Dash 8 is not particularly
small, though bigger than a Trislander.

If you want small, catch one of the services to Alderney - that was a
genuinely fantastic experience (unlike Alderney - though the airport
    was rather amusing).

BTW, whicher company it is, I hope they're not opening in the new
Market Place in St. Peter Port - if they are you'll be going back and
forth for the "official opening" only to see it move back another few
    weeks :)

And the locals won't go in the shop either.

If it is Tchibo, can I just say that the 'coffee' they sell is not very
nice? Or maybe it's just the one we have at work, but it's just no
where near as nice as (and this is hard to say) even Tesco or Sainsbury
    own-brand ground stuff.

Well, yes, the Dash 8 is a fair size, but the Trislander is the little
    one.
    That's the Trislander, then.

However, we flew a peak time commuter flight, so they put us in the
Shorts 360 - affectionately known by the locals as 'the shed'.
    It's not them.
    But that sounds familiar.....
