D'Oh! I think I've had enough Ducatis for one day -
being in the garage for the last 3 hours working on
just the clip-ons is getting to me!

Dunno about that. I am wondering why it has got skis fitted. They
don't mention it being a Norwegian model or anything. Mind you if that
is what they are turning out for the new snowmobiles then I really must
do something about having a go of one before I die.

Actually, I was referring not to the cost of yer ordinary road Ducati,
but the full on Superbikes. Even the bloody crankcases have a limited
    life.
ooh, well done! What you riding?

Don't know if I'll do it as I'd need to borrow a bike
(which isn't a problem) if I didn't want to ride my
own. While mine is race ready (except for a bit of lock
wiring and the front brake lines) I wouldn't stand a
chance against anything .. not that I would anyway.

A very defeatist attitude I know, but I might go out
and struggle round for a few laps just to take part.

It's all about personal goals. Sure, you're not going to win. But
I'd be very surprised if you were last, so just set yourself a target
of "not being last". And, see if you actually enjoy riding
    competitively.

Yep, that was what I was thinking.

Well I've got a trackday at Snett tomorrow so we'll
see what the times are like and how (un)competitive
it would be ... as in how many laps before I'd get
    lapped ;-)
