  2. And the difference between those 'rights' and the 'right' to practise
    religion is...?
Because they deny people religious freedom perchance?
So don't you think of it as a 'right'?

BTW - you may notice the '' round the word right..

  3. No implied or implicit racism in that statement of course because
we all know that France isn't in the least bit racist..

I wonder what they'd say if Des went to work in a kilt.

There's a thin line between vivid imagination and sick fantasy you know.

Without religion there are no standards worth sticking too?

Racism is defined as the victim considering that an action is racist I think
so under the <spits> Human Rights bollocks this is likely to get punted
    anyway.

Simple really Des. even a french schoolteacher should be able to get
    it:-

One, some or all, either way it is still discrimination.

Worse than that, it actually institutionalises the singling out of
anyone who doesn't comply to a template that the state has approved.

Now forgive me if I'm wrong but I thought, at least within the confines
of Europe, that kind of thing had died out with Hitler.

Actually, in this instance, ITYF it's the opposite...
.... because you and Phil and Hog are all talking about proposed
changes to legislation, as appeared in the news recently. Des, I
suspect, is talking about the actual situation that has been in place
for the last fifty years or so. As am I.
    Sounds reasonable to me ;-}
