    It would be more accurate to say that he's thinking about legislating
    against a display of religious affinity. The fact that this display is
    in the form of things you wear, such as scarves or skull caps, is of
    less relevance.

    Nobody who hadn't lived through the bigotry and shite that Des described
    could understand what he meant by it.

    Des's description wasn't trollish - it was merely describing a normal
    Saturday experience for thousands of Scottish people.

    Many of us grew to hate it with a passion. For my part, I'm glad I'm
    hundreds of miles away from it now.
