To while away the time during the Tart's MoT this morning I wandered round the corner to the HD/Buell dealer. They actually had an 1125R demo bike parked in the back lot. First impressions were that it looks better than in the photos, the ugly top end of the motor is well hidden, and the bulbous nose fairing not too awful. Throwing a leg over it though, I found, as I suspected, that the sports bike handlebars were uncomfortably low and the tank rather wide for my liking. The 179 Kg claimed weight felt about right though. I don't mind a short whizz on a GFR tucked down behind the fairing, but I'm not sure I would like the 1125 riding position on a longer IoM or French run trip.
