"Assistant Chief Constable Sue Cross said North Yorkshire Police had
taken the unusual step of carrying out the dawn raid as part of the
'serious' investigation into the double fatal crash."

A dawn raid FFS! Talk about OTT.
    <*THIS IS A JOKE*>
JOKE: Time to put a fucking bomb under North Yorkshire Police HQ.

    Possibly.

There was definitely something previously about riders in a group
potentially being done for speeding if one rider got caught, but this
is the first I've heard about this particular case.

And the picture on that page seems to show them carting away a PC. I
wonder if there's photos or video footage of the incident, or just of
    the rideout.

Ah, hadn't spotted that. Perhaps that's their 'justification' for the
dawn raids. Or they reckon all bikers are closet pedophiles and if they
can't get them on dangerous driving they can fit them up for something
    else.

Full story in last weeks MCN.

6:15am, plod went in and arrested the riders. I don't know how this is going
to stick, but it probably will.

Since "Ride your own ride" is such a common exhortation to bikers, one
wonders how they can say the others were at fault. (Unless there was a
    wager or contest.)

OTOH, a few days ago, this happened near me:
    http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2010/nov/14/motorcycle-club-trying-to-regroup-after-crash/
(Later articles say the driver was not drunk.)
I'm not a big fan of riding in groups. Riders tend to take more risks
to keep up with fast groups, and cages take more risks to pass slow
    groups.

It's N.Yorks police. They have taken over the mantle from N.Wales as uber
cunts. They are on a mission to banish a certain type of people from their
roads. It doesn't affect me and might force Hog overseas so could have a
positive effect in the long run.

Ampleforth is an Abbey with an affiliated Catholic public school which has a long
history of sexual abuse of pupils. Wright was Abbott from 1997 to 2005 and
like his predecessor sat on the details of the abuse. He "retired" when it
all went public. So, he's probably the biggest **** of the lot.
