I shall be in London for a few days in the coming week, and it appears I'll
be able to slope out for a drink or two on Wednesday evening. Any of the
London mob up for a spot of midweek imbibing?

Possible, but unlikely. Have to have a poster ready by the end of
the week, to fly out of LHR at some ungodly time Saturday, and I'm still

Hotel's in Marble Arch, wife and sprog are going to see some lot poncing
around to music someplace in Covent Garden. So somewhere West End/City
would work, but I haven't done regular serious boozing in London for a lot
of years. Where's good?

As it happens I have a meeting with my new lords and masters on wednesday
so I'll be up for a beaker or two.

 

and after speaking to the monotreme on the phone, we're confirmed for
Lowlander (just off Drury Lane - see my other post) for around 7pm
kick-off on Wednesday evening.

Realistically, how long do you think you'll be sticking around?

I have relatives staying, but thanks to the magic of working from home, might
be able to get up there for say 8.30ish

depends, really. I was originally only thinking of staying for an hour
or so from 7, but for various reasons, may be there a bit longer now.
