  1. for a RAM mount u-clamp with ball.

I've just bought a 2nd bike (DL1000) and would like to be able to use
the ram mount on both machines. If you have one kicking about that's
surplus to requirements I'd be happy to buy it at a sensible price.

    They're nice people, too.

I bought the very same item from them last year, with some trepidation
as to whether they actually existed as a firm, what with the web site
being a bit of a random mishmash.

Item received next day. Bargain. A fraction of the price of any other
    retailer too.

I bought my SatNav case & hardwire power lead from them, Pip's been to
see them iirc, & L's best mate owns the shop underneath them.

if you got to the bosm you can have one for the price of a pint because
there's one fitted to my Tenere that's surplus to requirements but due
to being lazy and only getting home at weekends I can't be arsed to
remove it from the bike, pack it, go to a post office and work out cost.

It's fitted to the bike but it's only two nuts to undo and it's off so
bring a spanner and remove it then buy me a pint. Bargain.

  7. Cheers, I appreciate the offer. I don't honestly reckon I could make
it. We've just had a full rewire and I'll be spending every weekend
for the next decade decorating. I think it'd be cheaper to get one
from t'internet anyway but if I get let off the lead for a weekend I
    may bob in anyway.

The site is, as you say, not wonderful. I think they're keeping costs
down and using monkeys: but having said that, it seems to be common
amongst GPS accessory retailers - a lot of their sites are frantically
    awkward to navigate.
They're working their way in to an already crowded marketplace, I
think. Behoves us to take advantage of them, while providing them
    turnover. Win-win.

I was a complete novice in the world of bike GPS, so I wanted to get my
hands on the fittings. They couldn't have been more helpful and he was
very interested in bike GPS. I'd taken the unit with me and he asked
me, quite simply, where I wanted it (when he could drag me away from
the KTM in the showroom that had every fitting known to man bolted to
it in every conceivable position). Then we worked through his range of
fittings until it was positioned in space just where I'd told him.

There's cheaper u-clamps on the site: 3568 is the stainless steel
option - others get below a tenner. IIRC, Krusty has the waterproof
case and approves of it - and it must be superior to freezer bags.
