Local residents are complaining that the speed limit is too high and
should be lowered.
5 out of 6 accidents on the road in the last year involved Merkins from
the air-force base.

Seems to me that the solution is to ban the Yanks from driving, not
lowering the speed limit.....

 

Or making them drive normal-sized cars. The roads round there were
simply not built for Humvees, etc. Add to that the fact that the
steering wheel's on the wrong side, it gets scary. They pull out and
you *know* (because you're peering through their tinted windows
desperately trying to establish eye contact) that they cannot see more
than a fraction of the road they are pulling into.
