    It was pretty miserable for me in late June. But to make up for it, I
    was in Scotland. On the Isle of Skye. Drinking Islay like the
    traitor that I am.
    The Scottish people I know in Australia have far stronger accents than
    all the Scots I met in the UK. I think Scots have probably been
    exposed to so much foreign culture that their accents have weakened,
    whereas expats want to keep their identity.
