Dunno if anybody here actually goes.... Just heard it's been closed for refurbishment, and it won't be a pub when it re-opens. It's always looked a ripe opportunity, for those that don't know it, it's a huge site, a massive pub with a hyooge car park. Not been developed for ages, and consequently only the bar and pool room got used, and the big dining area was always closed off. It's going to re-open as a restaurant/shop with an emphasis on organic food - probably, at any rate it's not likely to be biker friendly to the extent of the local stunt lads performing in the car park every Wednesday. So, that's the Waterman and the Royal Oak gone from round here, just leaves Bassetts Pole :-(
