Ok, you lot have persuaded us, a 4 stroke 125 cruiser is not for us,

a 2 stroke trials type bike is what were going for now, took my GF to a
dealer and sat on a DT 125, she loved it, even thought she could handle it
on her own, doubt we'll ever ride with her on the front and me on the back,
as i weigh double her weight of 7 stone)

So were looking for a cheap 125 trials type bike now, thinking of a KMX 125,
DT 125, but there are other less well known brands about there seems, anyone
know of any of these going cheap? around the £500 mark,

we need something that's learner legal, but must be able to be de-restricted
when i pass my test, can the cheaper weird named clones of the polular
trials type bikes be de-restricted as well?

    okay, i was just checking,
most 2 stroke trials style bikes could be de-restricted, seems all KMX's
could and still can, DT 125's could but it's harder to do it now.. need to
cut the exhaust up to get the restricter's out rather than just a few
    washers,

i have no idea about the others, there are a lot of clones nowadays, some
places say certian clones are of such and such a main make bike, and all
    parts are interchangeable.

I am really looking for about a 10 year old bike tho, hence the need for
something cheap, just wanted to see waht else is out there appart from the
yammy DT and kwakka kmx, i know honda and suzi did something in the enduro
    range learner legal,

aprilia make one, but never seen it,

i know i'm a pain in the ass asking all these learner type questions when
you'd rather be talking about pulling moonies while doing 250 mph past speed
camera's, but i want to get back into biking, maybe too much has changed
    since i last rode one,

£450, it need's a little TLC but its reliable.
