Ok, so I fitted BMW bits to my bike, let the piss-taking begin.

You may jest. Yesterday I had to go to the garage to get my Snap-On oil
filter removal pliers to get the lid off a jar of olives. I'm off work
resting at the moment because I can barely manage to be standing for
more than half an hour before I need to sleep for a couple of hours. I
helped Pip put his B12 motor in the boot of his car yesterday, went to
my mum's 6 miles away for dinner and fell asleep on the dining room
    table almost immediately afterwards.

Next Tuesday I'm due another kidney op at Guy's, but I seriouly doubt
I'll be fit enough to get to London, let alone be operated on.

phone your GP and request a hospital transport. They are legally obliged to
arrange it if requested, full monty ICU if needed. Just get there.

Sounds like me .. in general ..
I don't envy you. I took my spare FJ1200 motor to Ireland, now that's
*heavy* - I had to use a tail lift to get it off the van :-0

That's why it's still in the boot.

I thought the car was handling a bit oddly, and felt a bit sluggish
    this afternoon ....
